Walking in a Winter Wonderland

This is one of those winters where Saskatchewan truly lives up to it’s reputation for being a winter wonderland. More than seven straight days of heavy fog and unseasonably warm temperatures have set the stage for one of nature’s one true beauties of winter - hoar frost. Lots of it too. So thick the branches groan from the weight of it. But, I won’t bore you with mere words when photographs can tell the story so much better. Below is a photo journey I took this afternoon west of Saskatoon where I board my horse, Tattoo, along with his pasture mates Willow (the black) and Estrella (the dun). My faithful husky, Roxy, by my side (more or less) as well as the farm dog out there, Ralph, a St Bernard mix.
